Thank you for visiting Robert Watson Photography and allowing me to share with you some of my nature, wildlife and landscape photos in the form of fine art prints.

With each image, I’ve tried to capture that moment in time as I saw it - - that moment when the light was just right on the mountain or in the eye of one of God’s creatures. All of my photographs are of our natural world.

I have a particular interest in wildlife photography. Wildlife is the result of a healthy natural ecosystem. The mountains and rivers are, of course beautiful, but without the wildlife, they are only monuments to what used to be. So my travels often take me to specific wildlife habitats, and as I search for that special image of the wolf, bear or moose, I often see that majestic landscape unfold. It is this special moment I try to capture. Through my nature photography, I hope you are inspired and motivated to spend more time with nature. As we all observe nature, we understand the fragileness of our natural world and how one thing so much depends upon another.

When making photographs, I’ve tried my very best to leave nature, and particularly my subject, undisturbed; for I am merely an observer. None of my wildlife images were taken of captive animals - - they were all taken in their natural settings.

You will find my photo gallery has a particularly high concentration of images from Alaska. I admit to having a passion for Alaska and the abundant natural beauty and wildlife it has to offer. I’ve been visiting Alaska since 1981 and find myself yearning to return to see and capture that special sunset, rainbow or wolf that I missed last time. I will continue to visit many other places, but Alaska will always be special.
